Whenever they show a shot of the Wal-Mart store from the parking lot, and you can see the soda vending machines, there is a new-style Coke machine (wavy-front, large buttons) outside the store. These machines did not come out until 1998-1999. Later in the movie, a character dies and the date of the death is written down as 1995.
