Right after the part when the team asked the coach if Rudy could dress in their places, Rudy called Frank and invited his family to the game. He was using a touch-tone phone, and that wasn't invented until years later!

WRONG! That game took place in 1975. Touch tone phones most certainly existed in 1975. I remember them. Not everyone had one, but they certainly existed.

Touch tone phones were actually invented in the 1940's. They were much too expensive to be in commercial use. They were introduced commercially at the 1962 Seattle World's fair, where they were well received.
