Evolution - Shoot and Miss
At the very beginning when Sean William Scott is lighting the shack on fire, he pours gasoine inside. He then goes outside and attempts to throw a match into the window. If you watch carefully, you will notice that the match doesn't go into the window, but falls short. Yet the shack still starts on fire.

The gasoline could have easily caught on fire, fires can be started just by having a flame near the fumes. Thats why you shouldn't smoke at gas stations.

It's not the liquid that lights on fire, it's the fumes. The fire would have easily have started with all the gasoline, even if the match fell short.
