In the beginning of the movie when the poisonous spider is found, the scientists say that it has no reproductive parts. But then, after the family moves into the new house, they find a barn spider. When they move it to the barn, the barn spider and the poisonous one mate. How is that possible if the poisonous one has no reproductive parts?

This isn't a slip up at all. They explain that in the movie! The one they got is a drone, like in a colony of ants or bees. There is a mating queen somewhere.
