Wayne's World - Answered the Wrong Question!
When Wayne and Cassandra are riding in the car, Wayne puts a CD in the cd player. Casandra asks him, "Hey, where did you get the CD player?" and Wayne says, "When we got the money". She asked him where not when. I know the two words can sound the same, but I have seen this movie so many times I can't even count, and I always listen real hard at this point, and she definitely said where!

Definitely her accent. I go to school with a a Chinese girl, and the two words are very similar when spoken by her. "Wed did ju" would be "Where did you" "Wend did ju" would be "When did you", but still very little accent on the "n".

This is not a slipup. She's not interested in the shop he bought it in! 'Where did you get that CD player?' is just another way of asking 'How did you afford that?'

its not a slipup, she does ask where but Wayne says "When we got the money" because he's showing off trying to impress her because he really really fancies her
