Coyote Ugly - Pay Phone

When Violet is calling from the bar to let Kevin know that she can't make it to the gig he got her, she is using a pay-phone. When he picks up the phone, it also shows him using a pay phone. How would Violet (realisticly) know the number for the payphone?
