Save the Last Dance - What's My Name Again?
It's when they are all at school when Julia 1st meets her love. The guy who ends up getting killed in the end comes and sits next to Sean Patrick Thomas....and that's exactly what he calls him. He yells out, "Hey, Sean!", when in the movie, that isn't his name!

Correct me if I am wrong but the character you are referring to is Malachi and he is not killed in the end; he is arrested. Also he does say, "hey Derek" not "hey Sean."

Actually he does say "Sean" after Malikai tells Snook to leave and they both sit back on the window thats when he says "Hey Sean"
