Batman - Hanging by a Cable

In the scene where Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger) is having dinner with the Joker in the art place. she splashes his face with water and then he says "boo". Then Batman comes through the glass above. Easily seen is a cable attached to him as he falls to the floor. I definitely don't think they intended for this to happen.

David writes:: It can't be a cable from his belt because when he drops to the floor all of a sudden there is no cable attached to him. It didn't have time to retract even!
