Now, don't you remember all her clothes being on the ship??

Didn't Evie work in Cairo? If she did (which I'm sure she did) then maybe the scene was set in her flat (apartment)? This would explain the whole packing scene very simply.

When I first saw the movie, I knew she meant the clothes she brought with her. I mean, who really brings ALL their clothing when they go on a trip?

When you go on a trip you pack only your VACATION clothes in a suitecase - if the airline loses your suitcase wouldn't you say "I lost ALL my clothes"? That's what she meant - she didn't literally lose every piece of clothing she owned but in that moment she'd lost all the clothes she had with her.

She must have bought some new ones at one point in the story (in Cairo).
