Go to the scene when Mason and Arlo push to boat down the hill. Then go forward to the scene where the boat stops at the edge of the cliff. Put the movie and slow motion. Wait for the boat slide down the hill. While the boat is sliding down the hill, look in the dust trail it leaves behind. You will be able to see a rope guiding the boat down.
