I attended one of Clinton's speeches here in Littleton, CO some years ago, probably 96 or 97, whenever the Summit of the Eight was. Mayor Wellington Webb was talking a bit about the President before Clinton talked - Webb said something *very* close to this (hey, give me a break, I was only 12): "And the President has done a great job of sperming - er, I mean, SPURRING the nation to build the bridge to the 21st century . . . "

The best part is that this happened years before the sex scandals were known to the public.
