Breakfast Club - Bender Playing Basketball in the Gym
Bender is in the gym playing basketball and Mr. Vernon comes in and asks him what he is doing. After he kicks the ball at Mr. Vernon his left shoe falls off. As they leave the gym his shoe is off and left in the gym, but yet when Bender and Vernon both come back into the library with all the others, he now has his shoe back on. This time it is two black shoes, but before one was a black and one was a white shoe.

I know, it's weird and I don't know how to explain it! I think that Bender, being as he is, finds the shoe in the gym and puts it on, but, if you notice when he picks up his jacket off the gym floor, he also picks up his "black shoe". Maybe Vernon made him put it on when they were in the hallway.

When he's in the gym, he finds a white basketball shoe, puts it on, and then when Mr. Vernon comes in, he kicks the ball towards Bender, who jumps to miss, and jumps out of the white shoe, and bends down to pick his other shoe back up.

Actually, when Bender is in the gym he has a white sneaker and his regular shoe on, he leaves the sneaker and he picks up his other shoe which matches the one he already has on. I just figure he was wearing the sneaker in an attempt to NOT scuff the court.

In the part of the movie where Bender is getting his weed from his locker, the booby trap thing comes down and cuts off the end of one of the shoes. I think when he was in the hall trying to distract Mr. Vernon, he goes to his locker, gets his other gym shoe and puts it on to be sarcastic about the fact that hes going to go "play" in the gym.
