okay, so you have your copy of boogie nights in your player (vcr or dvd) go to the new year's party when Scottie wants to show Dirk his new car, and Scottie tries to kiss Dirk, well right after that Dirk goes back to the party and Scottie gets in his car and starts crying and saying "I'm a F*cking Idiot!" over and over again. When he is doing that, take a look at the side view mirror of the car. There's someone (i assume the cameraman) casting a shadow over the car and the shadow moves a couple of times. On the deluxe DVD version, on the commentary track with P.T. Anderson, he is talking about that scene and he says something like, "Umm, nevermind the shadow on the car." It's pretty funny.
