Dogma - Onion?

When Loki and Bartleby are in the board room, Loki says that the voodoo man is made of onion. Yet, before he leaves the room and comes back with a gun, he smooshes it, claiming "I don't beleive in voodoo!". Watch the way the onion smooshes.....it looks a bit like wax, wouldn't you say?
