In the scene right after Tommy Boy's father's funeral, Michele and Tommy are sitting on a sailboat out in the middle of a lake. Look real carefully at that orange vest that he is wearing. You will notice that there are two stripes and a silver badge type thing on YOUR right. When the camera focuses back on Michele, the stripe disappears but when it goes back on Tommy, the Stripes and badge reappear again. Kind of weird don't you think?
