When Sonny and Julian are in McDonald's, they want breakfast but can't get it because it's after 10:30. So Sonny yells "Will somebody get the kid a Happy meal?!" When they are walking outside and Julian is crying, all he is carrying is a drink. No food or even a bag.
Have you ever heard of eating at the restaurant?? I know most kids that I babysit usually bring the rest of their drink home with them. As for his happy meal toy, maybe it was in Sonny's pocket, or even in Julian's.

I just assumed they had sat inside for a few minutes and eaten, and the Julian hadn't finished his drink when they left. Movies usually don't show minute-by-minute action unless it's necessary; it's perfectly feasible that they skipped this part.

That is a pretty good slip-up, but not good enough, they ate the food inside McDonalds! Then they walked out with a drink because they did not finish it!

Julian might have ate the meal inside and then came out with the drink. I know when I go to McDonald's and I finish my food, I not usually done with my drink so I talk it with me. I know there is a time laspe there. This is no slip-up!!!

I would agree with you if this were any other movie,
Because julian didn't have a toy and everyone knows that a Toy Comes with a happy meal. but since this is an adam sandler movie its not a slipup he could have just said that it dosent nesercely mean that he got the kid a happy meal. Besides adam sandler is known for his random and sarcastic comments.
