After Michele Pfieffer's character gets out of the tub when her husband tried to kill her, you see the shadow on the ground of someone hiding in the closet. But, when she goes downstairs, her husband is laying on the floor!? Maybe it was the ghost!!

OK guys. Now she sees the shadow but that isn't the closet door, it's the door to the hallway. And when she goes into the hallway she sees the light knocked over and the curtain is moving in the wind right next to the door. the shadow was the curtain.

Yeah, it was the dog. She thought it was her husband! That's the second time the dog scared her in the movie.
