Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - Preview for the Next Book
OK, I have the 1st edition paperback in American. In the very back after the story has been completed there is a preview for the 3rd book. It reads, "...after accidentally inflating his horrible Aunt Petunia." Now what a minute I thought he inflated his Aunt Marge?
Special Requirements:
the 2nd and 3rd book, the slip-up is in the 2nd.

I would like to point out that comments and previews for future books are not written by the author, but by the editor.

It seems to me that these slip-ups all occur in the American version, not in any of my English versions.

I don't know what edition I have but in Harry Potter, year two, on page 283, the beggining of chapter sixteen, professor is spelled wrong. Its the very last word on the page, its spelled -profesorr.

FYI, the 1st paperback US edition of the second book was published in September 2000, AFTER the third AND fourth books were published in hardcover in the US. Therefore, it is a mistake of the editors to say she inflated Aunt Petunia instead of Aunt Marge.

With most books, the editor changes things before an edition comes out or realizes a mistake. This is probably one of them- she realized that Petunia is Mrs. Dursley's name and changed it while she was writing the third book.

My copy acknowledges that Marge is not Harry's aunt. It says he doesn't like calling her aunt when she's not.

In the book, it says that Marge is Vernon's sister; however, Harry has been forced to call her Aunt all of his life even though she is not really his Aunt.

Also, Aunt Marge isn't really Harry's Aunt. She is Dudly's aunt. If she were Harry's Aunt, it would have meant that Petunia and Marge were sisters....not Mr. Dursley and Marge.
