In the scene where the scientist realizes what will kill the aliens, one of the other guys said, "But where are we gonna find selenium at 2:00 in the morning?" But, if you look out the window to the left of them, you can see daylight, which as far as I know doesn't happen at 2:00 in the morning.
I'm not sure if I'm thinking of exactly the right thing, but one of the scientists says let's go out and collect our supplies, when they are next seen outside it is after they went out and got all of the head and shoulders shampoo. Therefore, it is much later, but I'm not sure if this is the spot you meant.
