Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - Magic Guard-Rail
When Jen Yu sits down at the table in the bar (the scene where the big brawl takes place), she is then surrounded by several men. She speaks to a guy named Gou and tells him he'll be the first to feel her sword today. Then you see Gou crash through the outside guar-drail on the top floor of the bar. A section of the guard-rail has now been shattered. But when the big fight in the bar ends, you see the same outside-view of the bar, only the section of guard-rail is back! Magic!

Actually, it is not magic, because if you look closely, there are men working on the rail as if they just fixed it. Check it out.

This isn't actually a slip up. Watch the movie on a large screen TV, or in the theater, and you'll notice that there are actually two men on the bridge section behind the guard rail who are fixing it. You'll also notice that Li Mu Bai and Shu Lien are in the bar, this signifies that some time has passed so we can assume, since the rest of the building is fixed up, that the guard rail would be repaired as well.

In the movie, after the fight, you can see that the guys by the guard rail have tools, and are fixing it. That would be the reason that the guardrail is back to how it originally looked.

This isn't a slip up. The next shot is of a few days later. If you look you can see two men bending over fixing it. Right after that scene Michelle Yeoh and Chow Yun Fat are inside talking with all the men who got their butts kicked. It's obviously at least a day or more after the big fight.

tropical_cow- They put this scene you are questioning about in the same chapter because the chapter is called "Invincible Sword Goddess." This chapter sums up that Jen is getting a taste of the crime underworld. It would not make sense if they put the scene with Li Mu Bai and Shu Lien at the bar in the next chapter, "Sisterly Advice." That chapter is when Jen and Shu Lien fight in the complex.

This is to all the people who have been saying stuff about the two men. Yes, there are two little men, and I knew that before I put this egg in in. Why did I still put the egg in? Because that guard-rail shattered into pieces!There is no way they could fix it that fast! Also remember this movie was back in the days when there was no electricity. It's not like they had drill saws. Also to that person who said that the scene where the two men are fixing the guard-rail is days after the brawl, why would they put that scene in the same chapter? Why wouldn't they put it in the next one if it was days after? Answer that!!!!
