In the scene where Chubbs fake hand goes flying off on to the pavement, the camera cuts back to Chubbs who swings his supposedly handless limb at the camera. You can see a few of his fingers if you slow it down!!

The obviousness of it being fake is all part of the joke. Why would he have a hand crafted from wood anyway with all the modern prosthetics available?
