Hanson, Zac - Wrong and Offensive. Good Combo!
While doing an interview on MuchMusic, the question was asked about Zac's apparent nickname "Prozac" to which he replied:
"My name is Zac...that's my name. Prozac is a drug you give to crazy people."
Not only is he wrong about that, since Prozac is used to treat depression and mild anxiety, but I imagine his comment was at least a bit offensive to those who suffer from the disorder.

It doesn't matter how old he is, it was still said, I agree that it could be considered offensive. So, it's a slip-up.

As a daughter of a Prozac user, I see the firsthand effects of what it can treat. So, yes it did offend me. I think with all of his "talent" he could have shown some discretion and explained it in a non-offensive way.

I know, he was probably like 11 when he said that, and a lot of time people think any one who needs a drug from a psychiatrist is crazy or something, I'm not saying I think that, but a little boy might. We obviously know SOMEBODY takes the drug!

I like Hanson, and I like Zac he's a good boy, but that offends even me, I take Zoloft... Just because you have depression dosen't make you crazy, He was a freakin hyper 11 year old. So mabe he didn't relize what he was saying. Still though, he should of said it nicer.
