Mission Impossible 2 - Where'd They Get 30 Mil From?
Early in the movie, Ambrose shows his sidekick a picture of some English pounds, and the number 37,000,000 (with the pound symbol) written across the top, as the amount he plans to ask for ransom. This would be about 50 mil in American dollars. But later, during the transfer/exchange sequence, if you look at the computer screen you can see that it says the complete transfer is $30,000,000 (30 million dollars, American). Where did _that_ figure come from? The altered figure is never mentioned before or after.

I believe that the figre in question was the value of a certain percentage of BioCyte's share stock. The transfer was of ownership of around 51% of BioCyte's shares to Ambrose so that he would profit from the demand he had just created.
