Mickey Blue Eyes - A Fortune Cookie in an Italian Restaurant?
When Michael and Gina are running to make their reservation, they are standing in the Little Italy section of New York City, (as made obvious by the Italian flags and such) so obviously Michael's reservation was at an Italian restaurant. Once they realize they're late and would have lost their reservation, they make do with a restaurant in China Town. After Michael says that he is going to the bathroom, he stops the restaurant owner and tells her he has a will-you-marry-me fortune he wants her to put in one of the fortune cookies. If Michael originally thought they'd be eating Italian for dinner, why did he bring a fortune for a Chinese fortune cookie?

He could have had the same idea (to put a paper with a proposal in food) in an Italian restaurant. He just had them put it in a fortune cookie instead. You don't think he could have had them put it in a roll or something?

He could also have planned to miss the reservation, and was planning to do Chinese anyway.
