Mummy, The - Color-Changing Mummy
In the first scenes with The Mummy, he keeps changing color. When he first pops out of the sarcophagus, he's dark gray. Then, after Evylen finds the message on the sarcophagus lid, we see the mummy again and he is now brown. In the shot of Imhotep coming to life, he's light tan in color, and he goes back to gray in the scene where he's actually walking around.

If you get the DVD version of the movie and listen to the director's commentary you will hear Stephen Summer explain why that is. The second mummy of which came alive was created as a CG mummy, which looked kind of different. They did the best they could, but was still a great movie.

If you were a rotting corpse that had been left undisturbed for centuries, and were suddenly brought back to life and released into the open air, perhaps YOU'D turn colour too!

It could also be explained as a part of Imhotep's regenerating.
