Aliens - Wire from APC
Ripley is driving the APC down the tunnels to get the marines out and Gorman fights with her to get her away from the controls. Between them they manage to drag the APC down the wall, scraping the hell out of it (a shot which I must say nearly made me cry since this is the coolest looking vehicle ever) and into a support strut. If you pause just before the side skids into the strut, I think you can see the wire (which drags the small-scale model APC along) coming from the roof.
Also, when Ripley and newt are in Medlab in the facehugger scene, before Ripley tries to smash out the protective glass with the chair, there are already 3 marks on the glass(previous takes?). As she swings the chair, the mark on the bottom right is gone and when she connects with the glass, it's this mark which she causes, suggesting the scenes weren't filmed in order.

Just a note on the vehicle there. It is not a small model. It is a tug for a large aircraft that they put a body on.

True, the full size APC is one of those aircraft movers, but in this scene they used a smaller replica and a sloped set. As far as the reported slip-up goes, I haven't spotted any wires - then again, I own the DVD boxed set version, maybe they removed it (or maybe I just keep missing it).

Behind the scenes you see the small scale replica which they had rolling down an incline, notably the shot where you see the apc rolling rapidly through the mist with the camera travelling in front looking back(i think this is soon after Ripley first takes off to get the marines back) . This would suggest that the replica had no means of propulsion of its own. I admit the strings may or may not be there, although i was convinced they were there at the time for a brief moment( mania?) . Regarding the pre-existing marks on the window, the marks appear, then reappear. If you watch the scene, paying particular attention to these marks, the discontinuity is obvious.

Regarding the pre-existing marks on the window: Remember, there was obviously carnage as the aliens captured the colonists, prompting the marines to be sent in. Isn't it possible that someone else was previously trapped in that room with an alien? And since nobody was around to clean the window...
