Saving Private Ryan - 8 Round Stripper-Clip?

At the last battle at the town of Ramel, (something like that)watch the part where the sniper, private Jackson, is about to die. He fires eight .30-60 rounds at the Germans below, he takes out four Germans and misses two and possibly misses two more. All in total he fires 8 rounds without reloading a fresh stripper-clip. The Springfield M1903 sniper rifle uses a 5-round stripper-clip. The bolt action sniper rifle magically reloaded itself?!?!?!

MattTheBrave writes:: jackson actually reloads his gun when you cant see. when he misses the first guy for the first time, he mumbles "come on," you cant see his hands or rifle but from the sounds of the gun he is definately reloading. and he doesnt use a stripper clip either. you cant use those on the springfield due to the scopes position. he simply loads and few rounds manually.; 11 of 11 people found this comment helpful.
