In the seen where Marcus comes over to Julie's house to get her for protective custody she swings a bat at him. Marcuc grabs the bat and heads for the door, but then Julie starts talking him back. When the camera goes from Julie talking to Marcus to Marcus at the door, if you look in the lower right corner you will see the bat laying on the floor, but when they show Marcus he has the bat in his hand, and then he later drops it.
