Hey Arnold - Speak Without Moving My Mouth? I Can Do That!
OK, watch the episode of Hey Arnold where they all take the aptitude test and Harold's and Helga's tests get mixed up. So after school, Gerald keeps talking like a talk show host side kick and when Arnold tells him to stop, the scene moves inside to the magazine rack and Gerald clearly answers WITH HIS MOUTH CLOSED!! I know this isn't a very good slip up but I decided to put it in anyway.

Your right....it's not a very good slip-up. However, maybe the creators of HEY ARNOLD! didn't record the voices of the characters first (which is easier), maybe they did the opposite, and forgot to make Gerald move his mouth in that scene.

Doesn't it seem like the same thing happens in "Helga Sleepwalks"? When Helga is eating the pork rinds, she says "Hey, these are pretty good!" with a mouth full of pork rinds. When she says what she says, note that her mouth is in just a dopey grin!
