Bambi - Bambi's Girlfriend Wears Contacts
1. Go to the first meadow scene. Note Bambi's Girlfriend's (feline, i think it is) eye color (its blue)
2. Go to the scene where bambi, flower, and thumper get "twitterpated"
3. When Bambi's girfriend appears, note her eye color (it should still be blue.
4. Keep watching. The scene will shift, and her eyes will be brown!
5. Soon after, they turn back to blue.
Is she wearing colored contacts or something?
It pretty hard to see if you aren't looking for it

If the eyes were blue when she was young, and brown when she got older, I would say it is NOT a slip-up. But since they go from brown to blue when she's older, I'm going to have to say that it IS a slip-up.

I think it was a slip-up in that the producers didn't mean to do the eyes-changing-color thing, though you are right that the eyes of many baby mammals are blue. A lucky coincidence, I think.

This is because, like many other baby animals, including cats, dogs and humans, dear have blue eyes when they are born, which later develop into the colour they will have for the rest of their lives. This is NOT a slip-up, just a perfectly normal part of Bambi's girlfriends development.
