The last Saturday of the month is October 26...and Sunday is the 27....so meaning that the 31st is a Thursday...so the last Saturday in that month ends the daylight saving's time at 1am...shouldn't it affect something?
I was Alive during the 50's and we Did Not have daylight savings time. After World War II it wasn't used again until the 60's and then sporadically. Most of the country got on the Daylight Savings Time bandwagon AFTER that, but not all. 50's didn't NEED daylight savings time to make folks happy!

Not sure exactly what you're referring to in the movie, but around here, for some reason, the clocks "officially" change at 2 a.m. Second, not all parts of the U.S. observe daylight savings time. Bits of Indiana, for example.

I don't quite understand what you're trying to say but call me crazy but according to my calendar the last Saturday in October is not always the 26th. It changes every year.
