Karate Kid, The - Sorry Mom, I Forgot!
When Daniel is at Miyagi's house for his birthday, he says, "Shoot, I'm suppose to be home because my mom made me a surprise birthday cake...I wasn't suppose to know about it". After receiving the bright yellow car as his 2nd gift from Miyagi, he's seen driving at "Golf-N-Stuff" looking for Ali. I guess that surprise cake wasn't so important.

I always wondered that myself. There was supposed to be a scene in the movie that explains what happens about missing his party. Go to this website it tells of all scenes that are missing as well as other excellent info. Enjoy :)

I know this is not related, but this site is always filled for submitting responses. My complaint regarding the karate kid is the time element... Daniel was 15 turning 16 (day before the tournament - because of his birthday party) yet in Karate Kid 2 takes place 6 months later he is talking about going to Okinawa with Mr. Miyagi (used his college money to go to Okinawa and Daniel didn't graduate early from high school since his grades were mediocre at best). So he skipped through time, and then again somehow went back in time again in episode 3 to defend his title in the all valley UNDER 18 tournament. Timeline is really bad here.

When Daniel mentions that his mom made a surprise cake for him, This could have been an excuse for Daniel to see his girlfriend.
