Hannibal - Hair Caught in the Fridge?
Near the end of the film, Clarice and Hannibal are in the kitchen, and Hannibal makes an attempt to hold Clarice there. He does so by shutting her hair in an older style refrigerator and he then breaks off the handle, making it impossible for her to open. In the next scene, her hair appears to be intact (and no handcuffs, I might mention) as she looks near the lake for Hannibal when the authorities arrive.

On the DVD, Ridley Scott's commentary on the Alternate Ending spills the beans on a third un-shot ending in which Lecter drags Clarice (because they're handcuffed) to the boat and takes off only to get in the middle of the lake and go overboard. Clarice then has the option of drowning with him or producing the key, which she does cause she has it in her mouth.

I don't remember him breaking the handle off but he probably did. Anyway, she could probably have, if she pulled carefully, gotten her hair out. About the handcuffs, she never specifically told him that she didn't have the key for them when he asked for it. So, presumably, when he cut off his own hand, as he obviously did, seeing as his arm was in a sling and her hands were intact, she got a key and removed the cuffs. There was a time lapse from the kitchen to the outside. Even if she didn't have the key with her at the time, she could have gone to her other clothes upstairs.

She was given time to presumable work her hair out of the fridge, enough time had lapsed for Dr. Lecter to have escaped.
