Me, Myself & Irene - Left Turn, Right Turn?

Right after Charlie gets into the big fight with himself he takes off in a red convertible. He then runs over the cop that runs out in front of him. Right after this, they show a shot from inside the car and Charlie turns the wheel to left, but then they cut to a shot from behind the car and he's turning right.
