Dr. Dolittle - The Monkey's Spanish
Eddie Murphy is asked to attempt to strike up a conversation with an orangutan. It doesn't work, but as he's leaving it makes a few remarks in spanish. One of these remarks being "Tu conoces Will Smith?" "Tu" signifies you, and "conoces" signifies know, but when you're talking about whether or not someone knows a person, the word "a" must be added. So because the orangutan did not say "Tu conoces a Will Smith?", he did not use proper grammar. Stupid monkeys.

Wow! Nitpicker indeed! If you're gonna be that picky why didn't you mention that the monkey mispronounced Will Smith in the correct Spanish way where the letter "i" makes an "eee" sound????

An orangutan isn't a monkey; it's is an ape. Monkeys have tails; apes don't. You call that Spanish a slip up, how sad.

I too believe that it is quite cool for a monkey to speak Spanish. My dog can't even speak English without mispronouncing every second word!

Well, did the ape go to grade school? I mean come on, we don't even always talk with perfect grammer, that's a lot to expect from an ape. But because, of course, because the movie isn't real, I think the editers should have picked up on that.
