Early in the movie the rules of Baseball were being explained to Robert Urich,(the Star)by a young boy. The movie took place in 1865 when there were 9 balls and 3 strikes thrown to be hit by the batter. The boy told Urich there were 4 balls and 3 strikes. Baseball officials changed from 9 to 4 balls in 1898,thirty years later.
