Terminator - Headlights
Arnold goes to the police station and the cop behind the desk says that Sarah is giving a statement and that he can't see her now. Arnold says "I'll be back" and leaves. Seconds later, he drives his car into the station. When he leaves, you hear the engine revving and you see the headlights glare off the cop's face, but when the car busts through the wall the headlights are off.

I don't think you've actually seen this NeuroManson otherwise you'd know what he is talking about. The first shot is of the policeman getting lit up by the headlights, the second shot is of the car coming in with the headlights of, and the third shot is of the policeman ducking out of the way with the headlights still illuminating him.

I was in the middle of a drive to the west coast (moving), and on I90 just out of Chicago... I was right behind a UPS van, and as it was warm, the door on the side was open... Suddenly, I saw an aluminum can fly out the door (empty and blown by the wind apparently), and smack into the front of my car... I didn't pay any attention to it until I got to Missouri and pulled into a motel to sleep, and noticed one of my brights were out... The point is, it takes very little force to knock out a headlight... If an empty soda can can do it at highway speeds, 30+ MPH through a police station wall certainly will...
